Project management services for a Fortune 50 Health Insurer undergoing a large-scale digital transformation of Medicare plans. The goal of this organization’s significant launch was offering seniors a healthcare experience that centers around customers, simplifying administration, personalizing their experience, care and focused on whole-person health. The organization utilized SAFe 5.0 at an enterprise solution level combining marketing, product, clinical, tech, finance, etc.
Created structure in Jira for business manager project plans, tracking and reporting including workflows, import, dashboards and report templates. Reviewed existing project plans for launch, providing recommendations, support, collaboration and maintenance.
Developed multiple Senior Director level dashboards and reports including recommendations, for progress coaching, tracking plus risk and issue management. Used by Directors for meeting deadlines, determining mitigation/support plus reporting to and collaborating with Leadership team.
Created automated operational tool embedded into multiple platforms (links, website, MS-Teams) for non-Jira users to request service from Quality/Compliance/Risk group. Designed, documented and trained group on process to triage requests and analyze group’s performance for launch support PLUS day-to-day operations once new Medicare plans were launched.
Created Excel status reports from Jira, required by enterprise solution Leadership and Consultants.
Provided Jira and other PM training to business managers and newer project managers. Offered occasional short-burst presentations or tutorials (20 - 45 minutes).
Assumed project manager role on one “slower-moving” Medicare Risk Adjustment workstream for risk adjustment claims modifications including integration with operations, systems, Healthcare Quality Improvement, finance, clinical, etc. Developed project plan, key requirements and attained commitments on purpose, responsibilities and goals. Delivered activity completion at detailed level, creating and facilitating collaboration for efficiency and HAPPINESS of the entire project team and stakeholders.
In preparation of UAT and encouraging a test-driven technical development, represented the Quality Compliance business team by reviewing (or facilitating the review of) the system design specifications from the Data Analytics team for ALL business areas (billing/enrollment, claims, Utilization Management, grievance and appeal, contact center, etc.). Provided support on User Acceptance Testing for entire Quality Compliance business team. Designed UAT Plan artifact to be used as template and provided coaching/training on planning and pitfalls. Led UAT specifically for government-mandated CMS reporting and collaborated with Data Analytics Tech team on improving their test delivery by developing large amount of test scenarios, test cases and reviewing with the Tech team test consultants.
Alerted Senior Director in advance, many weeks prior to Data Analytics team reported delivery deficiency. Recommended and facilitated creation of contingency plan including use of enterprise solution Test Leaders. Actively worked hands-on to ensure quality of deliverable and provided “reality” consultation to Senior Director on technical team’s methods and risks.
Provided Risk identification, management, planning and structure to utilize Jira for prioritization of risks and issues.
